Tolkien; Romeo Muller Bilbo Baggins (Orson Bean) is a simple hobbit until the day Gandalf (John Huston) arrives. After that he sets out of a great adventure to Lonely Mountain with a hand full of dwarves to reclaim their mines from the dragon Smaug (Richard Boone). On the way the are almost eaten by trolls, attacked and captured by goblins, flown over a forest in the claws of eagles, almost eaten by spiders, and captured by wood-elves. In the midst of all this Bilbo is separated from the dwarves and finds himself in a cave with Gollum (Brother Theodore). Gollum possesses a magic ring, which Bilbo finds and steals. Eventually they reach the dragons layer and a grand finale that brings all the characters to one place ensues. |
