The main character, Daniella, is orphaned and thrust into the care of a step mother who is set upon furthering her own daughters' future at her stepdaughter's expense. The would-be Prince Charming witnesses an act of kindness by the fiercely loyal and spirited Daniella, who gives him a different name rather than out herself. The prince and Daniella begin to fall for each other but the ambitious step mother is determined to have the prince for her own daughter. With unexpected aid from a well-known artist and help from her childhood friend and the house staff to whom she has always been kind, Daniella must decide her true feelings while dealing with her step mother's veangeful scheming.
