Dumbo tells the story of a circus elephant with over-large ears and an imprisoned mother, who must find his own place in the world while learning to triumph over adversity. After the circus owners jail his mother for an attack on the other circus elephants, Dumbo finds himself relegated to the circus clown act. With the help of Timothy the mouse, and a group of crows, Dumbo discovers that he can fly with his large ears and the help of a magic feather. When Dumbo attempts to bring this skill into his clown act, he accidentally loses the feather, and discovers that the ability to fly lies within him, and not the feather. In the end, Dumbo’s flying act brings fame and fortune to the circus, and wins his mother’s freedom.
