Flight of the Navigator is a family movie about the adventures of a 12 year old boy, David (Joey Cramer) who is scooped up by a mysterious spacecraft while out walking alone in 1978. Accompanied only by a talking computer (Paul Reubens), David travels to the far reaches of the galaxy, gaining vast navigational knowledge along the way. When returned to his home exactly eight years later, he has not aged at all. This, combined with the simultaneous discovery of his spacecraft, leads the government to join-the-dots and start taking a great interest in David and the secrets locked away in his mind.
