Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), a simple moisture farmer from the backwater planet of Tatooine is drawn into the galactic struggle of the galaxy. The Empire is in control of the galaxy and being led by the Emperor (Ian McDiarmid) and his faithful servant, the evil Darth Vader (James Earl Jones/David Prowse), both masters of an ancient “magic” known as the Force. When Luke sets out to save Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) from the Empire, along with the help of Ben Kenobi (Alec Guiness) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford), he does not know that his life will be changed forever. Luke discovers that he too has the ability to use the Force and that it will be up to him to challenge and defeat Lord Vader and the evil Emperor in order to help free the galaxy from their rule and to fulfill the destiny of the force.
